How the PTNA website handles information when you browse or contact us.

Updated 5 September 2026

Who this notice covers

This notice applies to the PTNA website at ptna.com.au and enquiries sent to its website team. Contact us at mail@ptna.com.au about privacy, your information or a complaint. This notice does not describe the practices of hospitals, research institutions, clinical trials or other websites mentioned in our content.

Information you provide

If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, enquiry topic, message and, if you choose to provide it, your organisation. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, investigate a correction or privacy request, and keep a record of the correspondence. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list.

Please do not send medical records, identifying information about a child, passwords, payment details or other sensitive information. This website does not provide clinical care or accept trial enrolments through its general contact form.

How contact messages are delivered

Contact messages are sent by our website's email delivery service to mail@ptna.com.au. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards incoming mail to a Gmail inbox used by the website team. These providers process messages to deliver, protect and store the correspondence. Our contact handler does not maintain a separate database of message bodies.

Technical and security information

Hosting and security systems process technical information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps, browser information and errors to deliver and protect the website. The contact handler uses a signed form token and short-lived records of submission attempts and delivery status to limit spam and prevent repeated submissions. Its abuse-prevention records use a keyed hash of the IP address rather than storing the IP address itself; ordinary hosting logs may still contain IP addresses.

Website usage analytics

The website also uses first-party analytics and browser local storage to understand page visits, referral sources, navigation and technical errors. General contact-page interaction events are excluded from this tracking to avoid collecting form field values. These usage records are separate from the messages you send to the website team.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to understand visits and how pages are used. Analytics can use cookies and similar technologies and process information about pages visited, devices, browsers and interactions. Read how Google uses information from websites that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy. Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising cookies

This website has applied to use Google AdSense. If advertising is enabled, Google and other third-party advertising vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this or other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on those visits, subject to your choices and applicable consent requirements.

You can manage personalised advertising through Google My Ad Center. You can also visit YourAdChoices for participating vendors' choices. Read more about Google's advertising technologies. This notice does not itself indicate that advertising is active or that Google has approved the website.

Your cookie choices

You can delete or block cookies using your browser settings. These controls and provider opt-out tools have different scopes and may affect website features. If a consent panel is presented, you can use it to manage the choices it describes. A privacy notice does not replace consent where consent is required.

Service providers and overseas processing

Our hosting, security, analytics and email providers process information to supply their services. Google and Cloudflare operate internationally, so information may be processed outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where providers operate. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy and Google's policy linked above for their practices.

Retention and security

We retain correspondence while it is needed to handle the enquiry, keep relevant records or meet applicable obligations. The contact handler removes abuse-prevention and delivery records older than two days during subsequent submissions. Email inboxes, backups and hosting logs have their own retention arrangements. You can ask us about retention or request deletion using the contact address above.

We use HTTPS and access controls to protect information. No internet service can promise absolute security. Please tell us if you believe information sent to us has been mishandled.

Access, corrections and complaints

Email mail@ptna.com.au to request access to or correction of information you have provided, request deletion, or raise a privacy concern. Explain the request without including unnecessary sensitive information. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing records. We will consider requests in accordance with applicable obligations. For information about Australian privacy rights and complaint options, visit the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
